History of Fountain City Financial

While Fountain City Financial (FCF) launched as a new independent financial practice in 2022, we have actually been in existence as a team serving our clients since 2016. Jason and Matt had known each other for several years, meeting regularly in a morning coffee klatch, and Jason eventually recruited Matt to come over to where he was currently working. Once we met Corey, we quickly formed a friendship and began helping each other regularly with client cases.

The Power of Partnership

Fountain City Financial is truly built on partnership and friendship. As we discovered that we were very like-minded in how we wanted to serve our clients, it became obvious that we could bring more value to our clients by teaming up and serving together in a formal partnership. So, we now have nearly a decade of synergy, camaraderie, and friendship behind our service model. We feel others can sense our care and friendship for each other, which spills over to that same care and friendship experience for our clients.

Fountain City Financial is Born

After launching in 2022, 2024 saw big changes as we opened the doors to our own office in Leawood, updated our back office to LPL to improve our client experience and enhance all of our investment tools and partnerships, and not long after added another advisor to our team. We have seen a steady increase in the amount of assets we manage for our clients, and in the coming years, we are anticipating added growth to our lineup of staff and advisors.

Kansas City

While Jason hails from Tulsa, Matt from Chicago, and Corey from Iowa, we have all been in Kansas City for a long time. We love KC so much, we adopted its nickname, The City of Fountains, into the name of our firm (we still can’t believe no one had used the name Fountain City Financial!!). To keep the theme going, you’ll find a real fountain in our office, you’ll often find us with clients at a Royals game, and we are all fans of KC BBQ and frequently will be cooking up delicious things on our home smokers.

The Best is Yet to Be

Matt had the good fortune to work with James Stowers, the founder of American Century Investments, early in his career, and we love James’s catch phrase: The best is yet to be. At FCF, we believe this to be true, and we look forward to continuing  to build our friendships and partnership with you in the years to come.
